Dining at 1033 Omakase is unlike anything else in Milwaukee. The moment you step in, you’re welcomed into an intimate, private setting that feels more like a curated culinary performance than a traditional restaurant experience. The space is minimal yet warm, and the background music is perfectly chosen—elevating the mood without ever overpowering the conversation. Each sushi plate that came out was a small masterpiece. The portions may be on the smaller side, but the flavor, freshness, and sheer creativity of every dish were second to none. From the melt-in-your-mouth textures to the unexpected flavor pairings, every bite was a reminder of how refined and artistic sushi can truly be.

You will not get another experience like this in Milwaukee, nor anywhere else in Wisconsin. Happy to note that they've rotated the menu since I last visited, and it seems many dishes are seasonal (so, come again!). If you've ever wished to try high-quality fish like sea urchin, toro tuna, A5 Wagyu, and many more- look no further. You genuinely won't find it anywhere else. The servers are personable, the service is attentive, and the fish is bangin.

On a scale of 1 to 10, it’s like one million. We loved the experience from the get-go. We were greeted and seated on the outer rim of the countertop service when we first arrived. We were offered initial drinks to start our experience while the chefs were getting everything ready. Once the chefs were set up, the staff moved a dozen of us guests to the countertop and we were introduced to the chefs. Soooo….the food was amazing, the presentation amazing, the atmosphere and music amazing, and the staff amazing. We of course purchased a t-shirt for our son. We will be back, that is if we can get a reservation! Highly recommend. Thank you so much

Cool, modern, hip sushi place. Similar to the sushi you get in Japan, made with care and craft— not ordering 12 and gobbling them down mindlessly. 90’s hip-hop classics make it a non-pretentious, non-stuffy atmosphere. Unique experience, paid $300 for 2 people, 13 pieces each. I’d you’re looking for a unique dining experience, and care about the craft and art of dining, or you’re a foodie, this is for you. If you’re looking to order a bunch of sushi rolls and stuff your face, this is not for you.

The food was amazing (fresh, imaginative, delicious) and the staff were all so welcoming. Omakase is such an experience and I could tell the chef was proud of his craft. The flavors were amazing and I loved each course. The drinks were also exceptional!

My wife and I have been hoping for a sushi restaurant of this caliber to come to Milwaukee. It has arrived! My expectations were high going into the experience and they were exceeded on all fronts. From the intimate hip-hop vibe, to the high quality ingredients, to the artistic craftmanship behind every course, 1033 Omakase is a Milwaukee gem. Thank you chef for bringing this experience and your gift to Milwaukee. We will be back!

Was lucky enough to score a last minute reservation at 1033 Omakase for myself and one of my buddies and I am so glad that I did. Staff was friendly and attentive as soon as we arrived. The restaurant only sits 10-15 people so very cozy environment and definitely enjoyed the atmosphere and ability to be right there with the chefs while they were preparing the food. We did the 14 course and my friend and I after each item was served felt like each one was somehow better than the last. They had a great selection of sake and other cocktails and the hosts made great recommendations or provided insight on favorites of different staff members. Even as someone who enjoys sushi who used to be a picky eater, there were many things on the menu I had never tried before but really loved. The food was fun, fresh, high quality and the touch of the head chef there making your food and interacting with you, being able to see the detail while making each course is a great added touch. The chef was attentive, always asking our thoughts, providing insight on what we were eating and I enjoyed after the meal that he asked what our favorite thing was, which frankly was a hard question to answer where many of the courses were competing for that spot. I personally enjoyed the 90’s hip hop (don’t worry karens, it’s the radio edits) and thought it added a unique touch and was not too loud as to hinder conversation. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation here it is absolutely a must go and I certainly hope to go back in the future. For people trying to get a reservation, make sure to I sign up for email notifications on Resy. A spot opened up yesterday for today and was glad to be able to hop on it. This place is going to continue to be busy and for good reason. 1033 Team, I wish you continued success and I’m glad I was able to experience what the hype was about, it was well worth it and well deserved.
